After graduating from the University of Leicester with a 2.1 in English literature I returned home to Kent and joined my local newspaper, the Whitstable Times, in 2007.
As a cub reporter working for three weekly titles, I attended inquests, high-profile court cases, numerous council meetings and interviewed various people including the likes of Ross Kemp and Gregg Wallace. After two years with Kent Regional News and Media, and having picked up preliminary NTCJ qualifications, I moved to the Kent Messenger group to become a multimedia reporter in 2010. I am currently a fully-qualified senior reporter covering the Ashford area for the Kentish Express.
Outside work I like long-distance running, playing hockey and going scuba diving. I love to travel and spent four months backpacking around Central America after I left school. Since then I have been to India, Thailand, Egypt, St Lucia, as well as Louisiana and Virgina in the United States. I am also a regular visitor to the Languedoc region of France.
